XÜLASƏ
Bu yazını hazırlamaqda məqsəd “Əsrin müqaviləsi”nin Azərbaycan tarixində nə qədər böyük rol oynadığını göstərməkdir. Bu müqavilə vasitəsilə təkcə iqtisadi deyil, siyasi məsələlər də həll olundu. Müqavilənin bağlanması ilə əsası qoyulan dövlətin iqtisadi qüdrətinin artması sayəsində Azərbaycan apardığı ardıcıl siyasət nəticəsində 44 günlük müharibə zamanı işğal etdiyi torpaqları erməni təcavüzkarlarından geri qaytara bildi. Ölkədə zəngin neft yataqlarının olması bir tərəfdən onun böyük neft-siyasi oyunlarına təsir etmək üçün əlverişli imkanlar yaradır, digər tərəfdən isə ortaya çıxan bir çox problemlər neft amili vasitəsilə həll olunur. Bu məqalədə müqavilə layihəsinin hazırlanması, onun bağlanması zamanı və bağlandıqdan sonra yaranan çətinliklər, dövlət çevrilişi cəhdi müzakirə olunub.

SUMMARY
The purpose of preparing this article is to show what a huge role the “Contract of the Century” played in the history of Azerbaijan. Through this contract, not only economic issues were resolved, but also political ones. Thanks to the increase in the economic power of the state, laid down by the conclusion of the contract, Azerbaijan, as a result of its consistent policy, was able to return the occupied lands from the Armenian aggressors during the 44-day war. The presence of rich oil deposits in the country, on the one hand, creates favorable opportunities for it to influence the big oil political games, and on the other hand, many emerging problems are solved through the oil factor. This article discussed the preparation of the draft contract, the difficulties that arose during its conclusion and after its conclusion, and the coup attempt.
